Hatch Warren After School Club

We have spaces everyday to accommodate your child.

Our After School Club offers so much more than just after school care

The Hatch Warren After School Club is run by Narinder Dhothar.

Based at the Community Centre, in the heart of Hatch Warren, in close proximity to both St Mark's.

We have spaces every day to accommodate your child.

Our After School Club offers so much more than just after school care!

We are proud of our long-serving, passionate and dedicated staff. They range in age from grandmas to teenagers at college and we even have a volunteer who is studying for her Duke of Edinburgh award scheme at Brighton Hill Community College. They give the children undivided attention and it is clear they love their job!

The ASC team, Narinder (ASC Manager), Louise and Gill, collect the children from St Mark's school. Our staff are trained and qualified in childcare for all age ranges and they are encouraged to continue training to enhance their skills. All staff are DBS certified and there is always at least one trained first-aider on site at all times.

Our club costs £15 per child per day and is available weekdays until 6pm during term time. Through our IPAL online system, parents can make Flexible bookings and extra sessions can be accommodated. We offer siblings discount too.

You have until 2pm on the day to make your booking and payment can be made via cash, internet banking or childcare vouchers.

We collect all infants from their classroom door. They pop on a hiviz vest and join the Juniors and then the Children enjoy our healthy walking bus, with plenty of fresh air back to the community centre.

Hatch warren ASC is the only After School Club that provides a home-cooked hot meal, freshly prepared on site by our staff each day. Dinner time is a time to share, so our staff sit with the children. This is a great time for staff to bond with the children; sometimes just to tell stories, other times to help and give advice - this is a fantastic opportunity to share experiences.

Play time comes next and we are very proud of our outdoor areas and use them at every opportunity. When the weather is on our side, we organise different group games each day for those children that need more activity. We can use the large field, enclosed patio and the enclosed sports courts with the basketball and football nets for outdoor sport.

Indoor Areas

Lounge: We serve our lovely home cooked dinner in here. Dinner time is a time to share, so our staff sit with the children.

The Warren: In this area we set up different toy and game stations, where children can play individually, in small or big groups. Children have access to table tennis, air hockey, table football, a play kitchen and doll’s house, cars, dinosaurs, building blocks, Lego, cards, soft toys, fancy dress and role play, colouring area, puzzles, table games and books! We make sure the toys are varied each day.

The Hall: Used mostly when the weather doesn’t allow us to go outside. We use it as a shared area with both toy and game stations, or exclusively to play big group games. Those games are rotated weekly and varied, in such a way that everyone can join in. We play the most popular and common games such as dodge ball and football to more organised games like ability circuits and parachute games.
