Located within Beggarwood Community Centre overlooking the picturesque Beggarwood Park, our café is the perfect spot to relax, connect, and enjoy some of the best coffee and homemade treats in the area. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick coffee or tea, indulging in our delicious cakes, or joining one of our many community events, Café-in-the-Park offers a warm and friendly atmosphere for all.

Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 2pm

Menu Highlights

We offer ethically sourced coffee, a wide variety of speciality and fruit teas, and deliciously indulgent hot chocolate made with whipped cream and marshmallows. We have a constantly changing selection of freshly made homemade cakes as well as toasted teacakes and sandwiches.

Or why not try our freshly prepared paninis, filled jacket potatoes, or a comforting bowl of homemade soup. On weekends, indulge in our delicious bacon or sausage baps - vegetarian options are also on offer.

Chilled soft drinks and ice lollies are available too, as well children's hot chocolate and babychino.

A Café for the Community

There's plenty going on at Café-in-the-Park!

Fancy a chat? We have "Chatter & Natter" tables in the Café every Friday morning as part of the national Chatty Café Scheme. Everyone is welcome and it's a great way to meet new friends.

Quiche Wednesday and Community Lunches

Every Wednesday from 12pm is Quiche Wednesday, in association with Dashwood Manor. Freshly cooked Quiche and a pot of tea or Americano coffee for only £4.50.

We also have a Community Lunch on the first Wednesday of the month - there's no need to book just pop in.

Clubs & Groups

If crafting is your thing then we've got several crafting groups , or if you enjoy a good book why not consider coming along to one of our two book clubs; Beggarwood Bookworms and Beggarwood Bookworms Daytime.

We also have our Beggarwood Bumps to Babies group - join us for a social coffee and a wander around the park. It's a great way to meet other new mums and babies in the community.
